Elective: Computational Composite Form

Collaborate with Gabriel Gutierrez Huerta, Hongyu Wang

The design aims to create a flexible structural system based on carbon fiber's inherent material properties and digital fabrication techniques. The basic module is a 4-axis prong, woven on a structural MDF frame with carbon fiber tow. Once cured, the frame can be disassembled, and multiple modules combined into a variety of self-supported composite structures.
